Avner Schneur, President and Chief Executive Officer
Avner Schneur founded Emptoris in 1999 and continues to serve as the company’s Chairman, President and CEO. As CEO, Schneur is the leader, visionary and chief spokesperson for Emptoris and its products. Schneur also sets the strategic direction for Emptoris, including the initiation of any financing activities. Under Schneur’s leadership, Emptoris has delivered consistent top line growth, and has established itself as a recognized global leader in the Enterprise Supply and Contract Management software market. Prior to founding Emptoris, Schneur was the senior vice president of operations for Vectis Corporation, a leading software vendor of electronic medical records, where he created and managed a full-scale operations organization and was instrumental in Vectis’ merger efforts. Before Vectis, Schneur served as vice president and chief technology officer for Astea International, a leading developer of customer interaction software, where he helped grow revenues to $45 million and helped lead the company to a successful IPO. Before that, Schneur was director of Software and Information Systems at Elscint, Inc., a manufacturer of high-end medical imaging systems. Schneur Graduated Cum Laude in Industrial Engineering, with a specialty in Information Systems, from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology).
John Belchers, Chief Financial Officer
John Belchers serves as Chief Financial Officer for Emptoris, Inc., overseeing all financial operations for the company, and is a key member of the company’s executive management team, helping to guide the company’s continued expansion and growth. Belchers previously served as CFO at four publicly-traded companies including, Gensym Corporation, a developer of business rules software solutions with $65 million in annual revenues, and Microprose, Inc., a software developer with $100 million in annual revenues. Prior to being appointed CFO of Emptoris, he most recently served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Dovebid, Inc., a leading on-demand seller of capital assets with $250 million in annual sales in North America, Europe and Asia. Belchers has managed and supported a number of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) transactions; led three successful Initial Public Offerings (IPO); managed significant acquisition integrations; and possesses significant international business experience specifically in the European and Asian markets. Prior to his finance positions, Belchers served as a general manager for a business consulting practice for Ernst & Young and as an audit partner for KPMG, a global accounting and consulting firm. Belchers holds qualifications as a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Management Accountant, as well as a Bachelors in Business Science from the University of Cape Town.
Terrence Curley, Senior Vice President of
Development
and Product Operations
Terrence Curley is responsible for global operations leading the company's product implementation and operations teams and is responsible for all aspects of the company's customer application deployments. Terrence has over 18 years experience in software implementations and company operations. Prior to joining Emptoris, Terrence held various, senior management positions including VP of Product Implementation at Zeborg, Co-founder of EC Cubed, Inc. and IT and product development positions at GE Capital and EMI Music, Inc. Terrence is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BA in English.
Jagdish Jha, Managing Director of
Emptoris Technology India (ETI)
Jagdish Jha is responsible for success and growth of India operations of Emptoris. He is a senior entrepreneurial leader with proven track record of strong leadership and successful management of software engineering programs. He brings over 25 years experience in software engineering and management for delivery of enterprise commercial software in multiple domains including banking, SCM, BPM, BI for global software companies. He has extensively leveraged offshore delivery to create new products and business lines, nurtured start-ups and led high growth business units. Jagdish joins Emptoris from Symphony Services – a leader in Outsourced Product Development market space. Jagdish was an early member of Symphony management team and contributed in several ways in building and scaling the organization to approx. 2500 people engaged in creating high-value, high-impact solutions for ISVs from dedicated Global Operating Centers [GOCs] managed by Symphony. Earlier, Jagdish worked at i2 Technologies, where he was responsible for managing i2 operations in India engaged in Supply Chain Management products operations, product engineering, consulting and product implementations. After i2, he helped found two startups as Senior Executive and President. Prior to i2, he worked at iFlex solutions (acquired by Oracle) – a leading banking solutions global provider in senior technical and solutions management roles.
Jane Johnson, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs
Jane Johnson is Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Emptoris. She has over 20 years of broad, international operational and human resource management experience. Jane is responsible for facilitating Emptoris' global growth and actively participating in the management of its business operations. In addition, Jane also has overall responsibility for the global strategy and direction of Emptoris’ human resources, including managing, recruiting, training and diversifying human resources for the organization. As a member of the executive team, she is instrumental in the corporate and human development of the firm. Prior to joining Emptoris, Jane held various senior management positions including Vice President of Corporate Development and Human Resources at NetCracker Technology, and Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Business Operations at Weber/Shandwick Technologies and Cone Communications.
Kevin Potts, Vice President of Marketing and Product Management
As Vice President of Marketing and Product Management at Emptoris, Kevin works closely with customers, industry leaders, and the business and technology press to share the company’s vision for how its innovation can accelerate profitable growth. Kevin has over 9 years of enterprise software marketing experience, including 7 years directly in the supply and contract management arena. Prior to joining Emptoris, Kevin was the Director of Product Marketing at FairMarket, Inc., an e-commerce and auction software provider focused on retail solutions for the business-to-consumer segment. While at FairMarket, he led a cross functional team in architecting and championing the software product line representing 60% of the company's revenues. He routinely worked with executives from Wal-Mart, JC Penney, Dell Computer and W.W. Grainger to expand their sales presence online. During this period, FairMarket conducted a successful Initial Public Offering which raised over $100 million. Before joining FairMarket, Kevin worked with McKinsey & Company consulting in the petroleum, electric utility, banking, media and engineering and construction sectors, helping clients pursue product diversification and product line profitability strategies. A graduate with distinction from the United States Naval Academy with a BS in Control Systems Engineering, Kevin served as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps. He is a decorated combat veteran of the first Gulf War, where he co-led a 225 Marine team during the assualt on Kuwait. After leaving the military, Kevin earned his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
Bob Kellegrew, Vice President and General Counsel
Bob’s more than 20 years of legal experience in the high technology world includes his having been the Chief Legal Officer at four publicly traded companies. As general counsel, treasurer, secretary and vice president for global, high-tech leaders, Kellegrew has consistently supported revenue growth and increased shareholder value. Most recently he was General Counsel for SpeechWorks International. Prior to SpeechWorks, Kellegrew was at American Tower where he managed a department of 12 lawyers and a variety of transactions including the recovery of millions in debt from financially troubled customers. Previous to American Tower, Kellegrew was the vice president, general counsel and treasurer for PictureTel Corporation, the global leader in videoconferencing, where he led a $30 million secondary capital investment, complex contract negotiations and the successful sale of a subsidiary company. In addition Kellegrew also held deputy general counsel and associate general counsel positions at FTP Software and Stratus Computer, respectively. Kellegrew received his law degree from Western New England School of Law. He also received a B.A. in History with a minor in English from the University of Massachusetts at Boston.
Ted Williams, Senior Vice President, Global Field Operations
In his position as Senior Vice President, Global Field Operations, Ted Williams will lead Emptoris' customer solutions and sales organization, and will play a key role on the company’s executive management team. Williams brings Emptoris extensive and diverse experience in managing and growing global software and technology companies. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Activplant Corporation, one of Canada’s fastest growing technology companies, and served in the same roles at Comac Systems Corporation, where he launched a new industrial enterprise software application which was ranked # 1 in its market by AT Kearney. Prior to joining Emptoris, he served as Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations at OpenPages Inc., a governance, risk and compliance software company. At OpenPages, Williams led the restructuring and growth of the North American, Japanese and Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) sales teams and helped improve customer satisfaction and sales win rates globally.
Previously, Williams was Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations at Computer Associates (CA), which acquired Concord Communications, where he was the EVP, Worldwide Field Operations. He spent more than a decade in sales at Boston-based MRO Software, Inc., during which the company grew from approximately $25 million to more than $200 million in annual sales.
