This 3-day lab-intensive course introduces first-time users to the tools and techniques to successfully create and manage sourcing events using Emptoris. Through a combination of lecture, hands-on exercises, and case studies, students will learn: project management, creating, monitoring, and scoring RFx events and auctions , supplier-side responses and bidding, analysis through optimization, and messaging, reporting, and exporting events.

Sourcing Advanced Topics
Prerequisite: Buyer Training or Sourcing Fundamentals |
This 2-day course is designed to educate power users on advanced sourcing functionality and enable them to make more informed decisions. Through a combination of lectures, hands-on exercises, and case studies, students are taught: detailed use of bid form customization for complex bidding, detailed use of bid field formulas to calculate total cost, creation of scenarios using optimization to decide how to best allocate sourcing awards based on supplier pricing, non-pricing criteria, and corporate purchasing policies.

This full-day session provides hands-on instruction on assessing suppliers using Emptoris. Topics include: initiating an assessment, monitoring supplier participation in an assessment, analyzing and reporting assessment findings. |

Through a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises, this 2-day course trains users on how to view and manage the ongoing performance of their existing suppliers. Topics include: setup of performance metrics with associated attributes (including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), scorecards, overall performance and feedback questions), how to utilize performance management information throughout the Sourcing solution, how to create a category-based feedback survey to collect qualitative feedback from users, monitor supplier performance through Overall Performance, Scorecard and KPI trend reports, and comparison among best and worst suppliers, analyzing key suppliers’ performance across categories and preferred metrics for more detailed analysis. |
