Burlington, Mass., – (October 3, 2008) – Emptoris, a leading provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, today announced the winners of the inaugural Emptoris Customer Awards Program.  The Emptoris Awards recognize the achievements of Global 2000 companies in the areas of innovation, adoption and creating bottom-line value with supply and contract management software.  Eight leading Global 2000 companies were recognized for their accomplishments, including GlaxoSmithKline, Syngenta and UnitedHealthcare.  The awards were presented at a special ceremony at the Emptoris Empower 2008 Conference on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

"Global business runs at such a rapid pace these days that it is important for us to stop once and awhile and calibrate our direction and focus.  At Emptoris Empower, we gather together business leaders from around the globe once a year to learn from each other and examine industry best practices.  We established the Emptoris Awards program to recognize some of those companies that are setting the bar in supply and contract management excellence, companies from which we can all learn.  Emptoris is deeply indebted to our customers, and to these award winners, for the ideas, investments and innovations they contribute to our solutions," said Avner Schneur, president and Chief Executive Officer of Emptoris, Inc., at an awards ceremony last evening at Emptoris Empower 2008 on Cape Cod.
